26.2 and up.

1. Kent Coastal Marathon 2013 –

http://www.chiptiminguk.co.uk/ps/results/Thanet%20Marathon/27726

Where it all started. Under 4 and a PB that is still going.

2. Viking Trail Marathon 18th Jan 2014

http://vikingcoastal.com/results.html

Taking it gentle for my first back to back. Happy with the time although worried that it was too fast.

3. Viking Trail Marathon 19th Jan 2014

http://vikingcoastal.com/results.html

Legs seem to be working fine despite yesterday. Almost identical to yesterday’s time.

4. London Marathon 13th April 2014

http://results-2014.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com/2014/

Really not sure what all the fuss is about. Too many people. Docklands is horrible. Grumble, grumble. Great session after though.

5. St.George’s Day Marathon 23rd April 2014

http://www.saxon-shore.com/st_georges_day/results.html

The run of the tearing calf. Fucking ouch.

6. Viking Coastal Summer Marathon Saturday 7th June 2014

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_summer/results.html

Not a bad run today, could have/ should have been a lot quicker. No homemade Bounty bar! Only weather type missing was snow I think?

7. Ranscombe Challenge 12th July 2014

http://www.ranscombechallenge.com/results.html

The most painful to date. Hills, ploughed fields and hills.

8. Thames Meander Marathon 23rd August 2014

http://www.swifttiming.co.uk/cgi-bin/list_race_result.php?meet_event_id=360001

The Thames becomes surprisingly boring after a while.

9. Kent Coastal Marathon  7th September 2014

Click to access Kent%20Coastal%20Marathon%20Results.pdf

Out too fast as per.

10. The Tolkien Run Challenge (50K)

http://www.saxon-shore.com/tolkien_run/results.html

First Ultra and a podium place of sorts. Look at the size of my medal.

11. Chelmsford Parks Marathon 19th October 2014

http://www.chiptiminguk.co.uk/ps/results/Chelmsford%20Marathon/35084

All ready for a new PB. Oh no, I wasn’t.

12. A20 Paths ‘n’ Downs Marathon 16th November 2014

Click to access A20-marathon-2014-results.pdf

A hilly, PB avoiding struggle.

13. Saxon Shore Marathon Day One 29th November 2014

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/saxon_shore.html

That’ll do for me, under four and a quarter for the first day of a double may have been pushing it…..

14. Saxon Shore Marathon Day Two 30th November 2014

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/saxon_shore.html

Not too shoddy. Support team in attendance. Sprint finish with WooWoos.

15. Dymchurch Marathon Day Two 6th December 2014

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/dymchurch_marathon.html

Fuckboots that was cold, with very hard concrete.

16. Martello Marathon Day One 10th January

http://www.saxon-shore.com/martello_marathon/results.html

This will go down in history as the wettest, windiest, coldest marathon ever run by anyone, ever.

17. Viking Coastal Marathon Day One 24th January

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_winter/results.html

Cold, windy and hungover. Chafed arse – flat seams were NOT flat.

Hugin Challenge next on the 22nd Feb. A month seems an awful long time without a marathon.

18. Hugin Challenge  February 22nd

http://www.saxon-shore.com/hugin_challenge/results.html

Very sunny with wind tunnels. Surprisingly tough thanks either to that hill x8 or after effects of a cold (flu). No strength left to make it an ultra.

19. Marathon Day Marathon 26th February  (26/2 geddit?)

http://www.saxon-shore.com/marathon_day/results.html

That was tiring. Note to self that will be duly ignored. A four day gap between marathons is in neither the so soon your legs haven’t realized they stopped nor the fully recovered interval.

20. Ranscombe Spring Challenge Day One  14th March

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/ranscombe_challenge.html

That hill (x7) is quite an issue. Enjoyed it this time around and will look forward to the next attempt.

21. Port of Dover Day One 28th March

Click to access Port%20of%20Dover%20Race%20Festival%20-%20Results.pdf

Convinced the sub4 was on, pushed it too hard and blew up at 16miles. Little long at 27 miles?

22. Fowlmead Challenge 25th April

Excellent course, no legs after the marathon so an ultra bottle.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/fowlmead_challenge/results.html

23. Bewl Water Marathon   9th May

Wasn’t expecting those hills, still, at least I didn’t need to wear the trail shoes.

http://www.swifttiming.co.uk/cgi-bin/list_race_result.php?meet_event_id=660001

24. Orpington Marafun 16th May 2014

More bloody hills and very hot.

https://connect.garmin.com/activity/775923473

25. Viking Coastal Summer Day one

Not too bad, bit windy on the way out which kept the sun manageable – quarter of a century!

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_summer/results.html

26. Viking Coastal Summer Day two

Oh boy, the legs really weren’t keen for this one, the sun piled on the misery and overall I expected too much. Made sure I rehydrated in style.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_summer/results.html

27. Ranscombe Summer 2015 day one

Hills ‘n sweat.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/ranscombe_challenge.html

28. Battle of Britain 75 Challenge – 12/08/2015

Was it the hills, wind or lack of energy gloop? Not sure, but it was certainly the slowest marathon I’ve run yet.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/battle_of_britain/results.html

 29. Chelmsford Marathon 18/10/15

After 28 attempts I’ve finally sneaked back under 4 hours, not sure where the strength came from but come it did. Calves are completely tarshled now though.

http://www.chiptiminguk.co.uk/ps/results/Chelmsford%20Marathon/38430

30. Thames Meander Marathon 07/11/15

30 bloody marathons! Wet, muddy, a little windy but enjoyed it more than last year in August, oddly.

http://www.swifttiming.co.uk/cgi-bin/list_race_result.php?meet_event_id=680001

31. Oyster Bay Marathon 25/11/15

First of the 5 in 5. Windy and cold – not a good start.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/oyster_bay.html

32. Viking Coastal Thanksgiving Marathon 26/11/15

Slightly less wind, slightly faster.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/viking_thanksgiving.html

33. Agincourt 600 Marathon 27/11/15

Wind, never ending bends and the slope. Nice route.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/agincourt_600.html

34. Martello Marathon 28/11/15

Windy, naturally, after all it’s the Martello marathon. 3 loops seem to make things quicker.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/martello_marathon.html

35. Dymchurch Marathon 29/11/15

Wind and concrete, miles of concrete. Slowest marathon yet. Blisters were murder, feet had almost given up. Quicker to walk into the wind than run. Without Happy Cotter it may not have been finished.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/dymchurch_marathon.html

36. Waterloo 200 05/12/2015

Not much to say here – perhaps I should have stayed in bed. Moider.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/waterloo_200.html

37. The Usual Suspects 19/12/205

Oh man, I need to do some training stuff – a bit faster than the last time I was here tho’ but. What a medal!

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/

38.   Unusual Suspects   13.02.2016

Not bad after two months without a marathon. Icy rain, shribboned nipples and another enormous medal.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/unusual_suspects.html
39  Chocathon 27.02.2016

Windy, cold and slow

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/chocathon.html
40  Relativity Run 28.02.2016

Really windy, really cold, a bit wet and very slow.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/relativity_run.html
41  Leap Year Challenge 29.02.2016

Almost some warmth from the weak sun, no wind!

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/leap_year.html

 DNF –  Book Day Challenge 09.03.2016  – First DNF at 20 miles……balls.

42  Ranscombe Spring 09.04.2016

Fourth time of asking here and the slowest by some margin. Muddy and very sticky on the last two laps. Probably my favourite run at this venue.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/ranscombe_challenge.html

43  Halstead & Essex Marathon 08.05.2016

That was hot.

http://www.chiptiminguk.co.uk/ps/results/Halstead%20and%20Essex%20Marathon%20/43895?_csrf=aceb920e-f855-4bbb-b97c-ddfdd9489721

44 Reculver Marathon 05.06.2016

Not quite to plan. Jokers hill at the end of the big laps.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_summer/results.html

45  Jeskyns Challenge 25.06.2016

Brilliant route, great weather – pushed on for a mini Ultra

46 Beatrix Potter Challenge 30.06.2016

Back again hoping for a dry route – after several weeks of rain the route was little different to March, great fun nonetheless.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/jeskyns.html

47 Summer Ranscombe 09.07.2016

That was bloody hot. Thought it was my slowest attempt here, but no, not quite. Always a great place to run.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/ranscombe_challenge.html

48  Made Ya Run 23 07  2016

Even hotter than the last one – but I discovered Cawston’s Rhubarb and Apple and will never drink anthing else.

https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1268561913

49  Darnley Challenge 14.08.2016

Another scorcher with hills. Thoroughly enjoyable route.

http://saxon-shore.com/results/darnley_challenge.html

50 Kent Coyote   18.09.2016

Could have done with a little training here, thought I was on for a sub 4 until half way…

Click to access KCM2016-results-v2.0.pdf

51 Lucky Dip Challenge 21.09.2016

This is now the hardest run I’ve ever walked – moider. Great course though.

http://saxon-shore.com/results/Lucky_Dip.html

52 Ranscombe Halloween Challenge 31.10.2016

Despite the dark and cows, this wasn’t my slowest run at Ranscombe. A torch upgrade is required. Good fun.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/Halloween_Challenge.html

53 Saxon Shore Marathon 26.11.2016

Blew up in the second half like never before – finishing with a face more miserable than usual. Very tired legs.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/saxon_shore.html

54 Usual Suspects 18.12.2016

Last one of 2016. Not the slowest or fastest run down here but definitely the least windy.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/usual_suspects.html

55 Enigma Winter 07.01.2017

Much more comfortable than expected

Click to access Winter%202017%20results%20-%20Sheet1.pdf

56 Hugin Challenge 22.01.2017

Despite the frozen hair, this was so much more comfortable than any run I can remember for the last 6 months or so.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/hugin_challenge/results.html

57 Jaw Dropper Run  18.02.2017

Temperature up in double figures and a new route made for a pleasant, fairly slow dawdle up and down the Thames.

http://www.phoenixrunning.co.uk/?page_id=3337

58 100 marathon club AGM 25.02.2017

Windy. Hung on to Robot Legs and utilised his pacing skills.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/100_MC_AGM.html

59 Book Day Challenge 07.03.2017

Great new route for me, spoiled only by the wearing of trail shoes. Hilly but not painfully so.

http://saxon-shore.com/results/book_day.html

60  SVN Charity Challenge 25.03.2017

Great route here, not too hilly and not too flat. Fair pace too.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/charity_challenge.html
61  Ranscombe Spring 08.04.2017

Back to the classic beast of Ranscombe – love it and hate it in equal measure.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/ranscombe_challenge.html

62 Caucaus Challenge 22.04.2017

Usual trouble at my bogey run – Samphire Hoe. The hills (minor gradients) feel normous after the neverending, concretey flatness.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/wonderland/results.html

63 Viking Challenge 05.05.2017

This was remarkably difficult despite a varied route with the right amount of undulations – I’m never happy.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/viking_100.html

64 Jeskyns Challenge 28.05.2017

One of my favourite routes. Scorcher of a day and a fair time today.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/jeskyns.html

65 Viking Coastal Marathon 03.06.2017

Double marathon in Saharan conditions after alternative carb loading session – nuff said.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_summer/results.html

66 Reculver Marathon 04.06.2017

As above.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/viking_coastal_summer/results.html

67 Lucky Dip Challenge 22.06.2017

Back once again for heat and hill in Shorne – an improved time, but not by much.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/Lucky_Dip.html

68 Ranscombe Summer Challenge 08.07.2017

A favourite route and the umpteenth running of it.

http://www.saxon-shore.com/results/ranscombe_challenge.html
